Length = 22 m and Breadth= 15 5 m The area of the hall is 22m x 15 5m = 341 $m^{2}$ Margin of carpet = 75 cm=0 75m âˆ´ Area of Carpet = $(22 - 2 \times 0 75) (15 5 - 2 \times 0 75) = (22 - 1 5) (15 5 - 1 5) = 287 m^{2}$ The portion uncovered = (341 - 287) $m^{2}$ = 54 $m^{2}$ A meter length of carpet = 1 m $\times$ 0 82 m = 0 82 $m^{2}$ $\frac{287}{0 82} = 350 m o f c a r p e t C o s t = 350 m \times \frac{R s 60}{m} = R s 21000$
