Total mass of soil sample = 150 g
​Mass of dried soil = 135 g
Mass of water that has been dried = 150 g - 135 g = 15 g
percentage of water given in the sample = $\frac{\text{mass of water dried}}{\text{total mass of the soil}}$ $\times$ 100

                                                          = $\frac{\text{15 g}}{\text{150 g}}$ $\times$ 100 = 10%
                                                       
Hence the percentage of water given in the soil sample is 10%.
