A solution contains 80g of ammonium chloride in 450g of water. Calculate the concentration in terms of mass percentage of the solution.

Dear Student,

Mass % = (Mass of solute / Mass of solution) * 100
Here, mass of solute (ammonium chloride) = 80 g
mass of solution = mass of solute + mass of solvent (water) = 80 + 450 =530 gram
Hence, mass % = (80/530)*100 = 15.09%
