A stone tied to a thread is moved with a constant speed of 10 m/s along a circular path, but still its motion is said to be accelerated. Why?
PLEASE ANSWER FAST!!!
Dear Student,
Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with respect to time. When stone moves in circular path though it's speed is same but velocity changes as direction changes as stone moves so, the stone is said to be in acceleration and motion is said to be accelerated.
