A STRAIGHT LINE PASSES THROUIGH (2,3) AND THE PORTION OF HTE STRAIGHT LINE INTERCEPTED BETWEEEN THE AXES IS BISECTED AT THIS POINT.FIND ITS EQ.

According to question the portion between the axis is bisected so, 

let the line intersect y axis at (0,b) and x axis at (a,0) 

so the mid point of the incepted portion is (a/2,b/2)

But as gives mid pt is (2,3)

so equating (2,3) and (a/2,b/2) we get a=4 and b=6

Now we know that the line is passing thru (0,6) ,(4.0) and (2,3)

so using two point form y - y1 = [(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)] (x -x1) we can find the equation of staright line. 

It comes out to be :-  3x+2y-12=0
