A student carries out the experiment of tracing the path of a ray of light through a rectangular glass slab, for two different values of angle of incidence: angle i=30o and angle i=45o.The set of values of the angle of refraction and the angle of emergence, she is likely to observe in the two cases, are
A)angle r=20 ,angle e =30 and angle r=28 , angle e=45
B)angle r=30, angle e=20 and angle r =45,angle e=28

how to find the angle of refraction? pls eplain.

Dear Student ,
According to the Snell's law  we get ,
Sin i Sin r=1·5r=sin-1Sin i 1·5Where r is the angle of refraction and i is angle of incidence .

Applying this method you can answer this question .

But don't know how to find the angle of refraction. Go by the emergent angle l.
