a transfer steps up an supply from 220V to 2200V  if the secondary coil of the transformer has 2000 turns the number of turns in its primary coil will be

Dear Student
  We know for a transformer (N1/N2) = (V1/V2)
When N1 is the primary turn, N2 is the secondary turn, V1 is the primary voltage, V2 is the secondary voltage.
For the above problem N1 = we have to find out
N2 = 2000 turn
V1 = 220 V
V2 = 2200V
Puttin these value in the above equation we get N1/2000 = 220/2200
So N1 = 220*2000/2200 = 200 turn
So primary turn =200
