A triangle of height 8cm and base 12cm is inscirbed in a circle of dia 14cm. Find the area of the shaded region

For the shaded region's area we need to subtract the area of triangle from the area of the circle.

Area of circle = ${\mathrm{\pi r}}^2$
          
                      = $\frac{22}{7}{\left(\frac{14}{2}\right)}^2$
                      = $22\left(7\right) = 154 c{m}^2$

Now area of triangle = $\frac{1}{2}\times base\times height$
                  
                                 = $\frac{1}{2}\times 12\times 8$
                          
                                = 48 cm²

Area of shaded region = area of circle - area of triangle = 154 - 48 = 106 cm²
