A Triumph Oh Surgery

The title of the chapter 'A triumph of surgery' is appropriate as getting Tricki well and energetic was a true victory for the vet. Mrs Pumphrey had been pampering her pet silly by over-feeding him. As a result, Tricki had become overweight and lethargic. All that the listless dog needed was some exercise and a balanced diet. The vet was able to treat Tricki by controlling his food intake and getting him to play with the other dogs at the surgery. He did not even need to discuss his methods with the owner who presumed some complicated surgery had been performed on Tricki! The dog left the clinic energetic and well.
