'A freedom fighter who was a doctor by profession got married to a girl he loved. Son after, he was exiled in the cellular jail of Andaman and Nicobar islands, for his involvement in anti-British activities. There he saw that prisoners were constantly tortured for no possible reason. Such circumstances led to a revolt by jail inmates. The doctor being the leader of the revolt was ordered to be hanged till death. The wife who was quite unaware of the proceedings kept waiting for him with enormous hope and faith till her own life came to an end.'

this is a story of the early nineteenth century when the young indians wanted to be free.one such person was a newly married doctor.he also wanted to be free.thus he joined a freedom fighters' party and himself became one.the struggle needed money.so he looted a bank with other fighters but he was caught and exiled by the british.he was kept in the infamous cellular jail in andaman and nicobar islands.there,all the prisoners were tortured severely.so,he and his inmates revolted against the prison authorities.for this,the doctor was hanged.back in india,his wife still waited sor his return.she was unaware that her husband was hanged.she has bacame old but still she continues to wait with hope and faith.
