Albert was equally unhappy at his logging. Why ?

Einstein's life was miserable in Munich lodgings. He wanted his father to take him away from there but he knew it would be pointless to ask because he was expected to stay on till he received his diploma. His lodgings were a dismal place because his father could only afford a room in the poorest quarters of Munich for Einstein to live in. He did not object to the bad food, the uncomfortable surroundings or the squalor but he could not stand the atmosphere of slum violence. Einstein saw his landlady beat up her children everyday and on Saturdays she was beaten up by her drunk husband. He envied his friend Yuri's lodgings even though it was no better than what he had which is because Yuri used to stay with fellow students.
