Gram Sabha is a meeting of all adults who live in the area covered by the Panchayat.
Area covered by Panchayat may include one village or more than one.
Anyone who is 18 years old or more and who has the right to vote is a member of the Gram Sabha.
Who presides on the meeting of Gram Sabha?
Answer
The Gram Sabha meeting begins or presided with the Panchayat President, also known as Sarpanch,
and the members of the Panchayat, also known as the Panchs.
How is Panchayat Secretary appointed? List his duties.
Answer
The Gram Panchayat has a secretary whi is also a secretary of the Gram Sabha.
And is elected or appointed by the Government and not by the persons.
