Aluminium wire of resistance R is pulled so that its length becomes 4 times its orginal length. Find the new resistance of the wire in terms of its original resistance.

pls guys... give me the answer.....!!!!!

Suppose original length of wire=L,cross sectional area=A

Then resistance,

Now length of wire L in increased 4 times by pulling i.e L'=4L .It means its cross sectional area will become A/4 i.e A'=A/4

Then new resistance will be

  • 38

AS YOU KNOW THAT RESISTANCE IS DIRECTLY PROPTIONAL TO THE LENGTH IT MEANS

R = L ( OLD LENGTH)

R' = 4 L '(NEW LENGTH)

THEN RESISTANCE WILL BECOME 4 TIMES

  • -10

I need the solution line by line!!!!!
