An aeroplane flies 4235 km in 5 hrs 30 mins. How long will it take to fly a distance of 2310 km?

i am not able to understand how to do it. please someone help!!!!!! fast, my exams are coming....

As the distance increases, the time of flight increases and as the distance decreases, the time of flight decreases.

So, the distance covered by the aeroplane and time of flight are in direct proportion.

Let the distance covered by aeroplane be x and the time of flight be y.

Here x1 = 4235 km, y1 = 5 hrs 30 min

Thus, the time taken to fly a distance of 2310 km is 3 hrs.

speed of aeroplane = 4235/330     (330 mins)

= 12.83min/sec

so divide it = 2310/12.83

                   = 180...

so it cover it in 3 hours
