An alkene on ozonolysis gives butanone as the only product. Identify the alkene and give its IUPAC name

Ozonolysis reaction involve the cleavage of alkene to form aldehydes or ketones. Structure of Alkene involved in ozonolysis can be deduced by removing the oxygen from two ketones (carbonyl group) and attached them with double bond. Since there is only one product formed in the reaction. It means there is symmetrical alkene which gives same product on reaction with ozone. The reaction will be as follows:


IUPAC name of alkene is 3,4-Dimethylhex-3-ene.
