An area of a pool and perimeter

(Assuming the shape of pool to be square and rectangular both )
With a square pool the formula for calculating area is a2 where a is the side of square.
With a rectangle pool the formula for calculating area is lxb where l is the side of rectangle and b is the breadth
Perimeter of square pool=4a
Perimeter of rectangular pool=2(l+b)
