An astronomer in space got a cut on hand, will he be able to prevent the bleeding ?

f it's inside a space craft or space station, it should have a tendensy to form a sphere once it leaves the skin. But as long as it's on the skin or on some other surface, due to the force of adhesion between the molecules in the blood and the surface, it should form a flattened sphere. The angle of contact depending on the force of cohesion between the molecules in the blood and the force of adhesion.

If it is outside, we r hypothetically assuming that the space suit is off in the affected area. Than, the blood should evaporate rapidly. And due to the extreme pressure difference beteeen interior of the body and blood should squirt out rapidly, posing a life threatening situation.
