An athlete suffers from muscular cramps while running a race due to anaerobic respiration in muscles (Lactic acid). We can overcome the craps by keeping hot water-bag on it. The hot water will help the muscles to do Aerobic respiration and the lactic acid will be converted into water and energy.

when the athelete runs fast the body needs more energy ....so the muscles start working fast ......since the oxygen  required for producing energy is less so the muscles start to produce energy without oxygen ..thus they switch on to anaerobic respiration ....in this process lactic acid is produced as a by-product and gets accumulated in the muscles and so the muscle pains...hot water can help the muscles to get rid of the lactics acid
