The distance between crests and trough is 4 cm
 
=> wavelength (L) = 4cm

Vibrations are produced at rate of 4800 per minute or
or 4800 per 60 sec.

​​​​​> wave velocity = distance/time = 4800/60 sec = 80 cm/s
 
velocity = frequency × wavelength
 
=> frequency = velocity / wavelength
 
=> frequency = 80/4 = 20 Hz

Time period = 1/frequency
1/80 = 0.0125 Hz-1
