Force on the charge particlein magnetic field is given by:
F= qvBSin(θ)
where (θ) is the angle between velocity of the charge particle (v) and magnetic field (B). When charge particle is along the field, (θ)=0, hence force acting on the charge is zero, hence trajectroy will be straightline.
