“HEALTH FOR ALL”s CAMP

On 13th June 2020, A well-known NGO ‘Health for All’ conducted a Health Camp in a Government school at Chennai. Announcement of this camp was done one week before. Though the check-up was free of cost, registration for health check-up started from 1st June.The camp was held between 9:00am and 2:00pm.
The camp was successful as people from all age groups above 18 came forward and participated in camp. Even the people from nearby residential came and showed their support. Many performances were staged by the NGO volunteers to attract the attention of residents towards the camp. An efficient team of doctors and nurses gave knowledge on various aspects related to health which are not commonly known by people. Doctors were present there to guide the patients. Many health check-ups such as BP, Sugar, Thyroid, BMI, ENT, Eyes, Cornea were undertaken. Many lives can be saved by voluntary participation in such camps and this camp proved to be one of them.
Resources were spent equally to all the people despite their identity which was a great step indeed.The camp turned out quite helpful for all the people who attended it. The organisers were also satisfied with this kind of outcome and expected to do more such things.The cooperation from the people was also highly appreciated. The camp was closed by a short speech by the president of the residential area. It was also announced that reports of the check-ups will be handed over to them after two days at the NGO office located near the locality.
