An object is placed at a distance of 10m from a plane mirror. What will be the distance between its image and the oject. Give reason for your answer.

(i) Since, it is a plane mirror, therefore, distance of object infront of the mirror = distance of image from the mirror
 
            therefore, distance between object and image = 2*distance between object and mirror
                                                                                = 2*10 m
                                                                               = 20 m
