Analysis of urine, also known as urinalysis, helps in clinical analysis of many metabolic disorders aw well as malfunctioning of the kidney. The presence of metabolic disorders in the body will lead to the production of various molecules, that could eventually get detected in the urine. As kidney helps in filtering out the blood and taking out the unwanted substances out of the body through the urine, any malfunctioning of kidney would change the volume, concentration, composition etc of urine. For example:

Proteinuria: Presence of protein in urine indicates kidney disorder as kidney filters most of the proteins during glomerular filtration.

Glucosuria: Presence of glucose in urine indicates diabetes. In diabetes mellitus, the level of glucose increases in the blood, and the kidney can't filter out all of it, so glucose appears in urine.

Ketonuria: Presence of ketone bodies in blood. Ketone are  formed during breakdown of fat due to starvation, uncontrolled diabetes as glucose is not available to the cell, they break down fat to obtain energy and produce ketone bodies.

Hematuria: Presence of blood in urine. Could be due to kidney malfunctioning.

Acidity of urine can be analysed as any change in the acidity could indicate chemical imbalance, metabolic disorders etc
Concentration of urine : any change in concentration or osmolality of urine can indicate abnormal kidney function.
