Hi, 1; - although question is not clear so assuming it as, 4^{x} - 10 . 2^{x - 1} = 24 2^{2 x} - \frac{10 \times 2^{x}}{2} - 24 = 0 {(2^{x})}^{2} - 5 \times 2^{x} - 24 = 0 let 2^{x} = t so t^{2} - 5 t - 24 = 0 t^{2} - 8 t + 3 t - 24 = 0 t (t - 8) + 3 (t - 8) = 0 (t - 8) (t + 3) = 0 t = 8, - 3 2^{^{x}} = 8, - 3 since 2 to any power will always be positive so neglect - 3 2^{x} = 8 = 2^{3} x = 3 Please post other query in different thread .
