Dear Student,

1. During the first visit, Mrs. Dorling behaved as if she did not recognise the narrator. The narrator had seen Mrs. Dorling only once before. So she thought that she might have arrived at the wrong address. However, when she saw Mrs. Dorling wearing the green cardigan of her mother, she realised that she was at the right address. The greedy Mrs. Dorling was not courteous towards the narrator.

2. During the second visit, Mrs. Dorling opened the door for the narrator. She said that Mrs. Dorling was busy and cannot come to see the narrator. The narrator later saw that her mother's belongings were lying in a disorganised manner in Mrs. Dorling's house. This disheartened her. She knew how much her mother cared for her belongings. She decided to leave without waiting for Mrs. Dorling as none of the articles lying there was going to bring back her mother.
