Consider the ball when it is at the point P and the string makes an angle θ with vertical. Forces acting on the ball are:

T = tension in the string along its length, and

mg = weight of the particle vertically downward.

Hence, net radial force on the particle is FR = T - mg cos θ

=> T - mg cos θ = mv2/R

=> T = mv2/R + mg cos θ
So
T =mv2R +mg cosθT =50×10-3×1.5×1.50.3 +50×10-3×10× cos 60  (As Diameter = 0.6m so R =D/2)T=0.375+0.25=0.625 N
