Q.1. Look at the figure given below. It is a section of human kidney as seen from the front.


(a) Is it the left kidney or the right one? Give reason in support of your answer.
 

We can not answer whether it's a right kidney or left. It all depends on the perspective or the portion from which you are observing the kidney (dorsal or ventral side of your body). Usually left kidney is slightly higher than our right kidney because the right kidney is situated under liver compared to the left kidney which is under spleen.
