As we can see in the figures, the side with 3 stars is adjacent to the sides having 2, 4, 5 and 6 stars. Thus, sides with 2, 4, 5 and 6 stars cannot be opposite to the side with 3 stars. This leaves is with side having 1 star, which will be opposite to the side having 3 stars. So, when the side with 1 star is at the bottom, the side with 3 stars will be at the top.
