Answer questin no 9 immadiately:

9. In poultry, the comb is of four types that is rose comb controlled by dominant gene R, pea comb controlled by a dominant gene P. Single comb when both are dominant. Find out the phenotypic ratio in F2 generation when a pure breeding rose comb fowl is crossed with pure beeding pea comb cock.

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

Rose comb is controlled dominant gene R.

Pea comb is controlled by dominant gene P.

Alleles for Rose comb be R (dominant) and r(recessive)

Alleles for Pea comb be P (dominant) and p(recessive)

A pure breeding rose comb fowl will have genotype RRpp since the result is different in heterozygous condition.

A pure breeding pea comb fowl will have genotype rrPP since the result is different in heterozygous condition.

Gametes would be Rp and rP

  Rp
rP RrPp (Single comb as both dominant alleles are present)
