When a passenger jumps out of a fast moving bus, hi feet, on touching the groing come to rest due to inertia of motion., if he doesn't run forward he falls with his face downwards.

1)As the inertia of the body's upper part makes it forward just like it was  moving before but the lower part of the body turns to the side along with the bus and due that the upper body tends to fall on the side as it's inertia doesn't allow it to move in the direction the bus is moving at that instant. That's why the passengers tend to fall sideways when the bus takes a sharp turn.
