Dear Student
The specialised person that would help Mr. Karanpreet in starting the Private Company is a Promoter.
A PROMOTER is a person who undertakes to form a company with reference to a given project and who takes the necessary steps to accomplish that purpose.
The important functions performed by the promoter before name approval are:
i. IDENTIFICATION OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY – firstly, a business opportunity has to be identified. It may be in terms of producing new goods and services or providing existing goods and services through a different channel.
ii. FEASIBILITY STUDIES – The promoter has to analyse whether the identified opportunity would be feasible or profitable or not. The following feasibility studies can be conducted for this purpose:
a. TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY – Sometimes, the business idea may not be possible to execute because of technical reasons like non-availability of raw material or technology, etc.
b. FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY – This deals with estimation of fund requirements for the business. If the required capital of the project is so large that it can’t be easily arranged, it has to be discarded.
c. ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY – Even if a project is technically and financially sound, it may have little chance of being profitable, in which case, it has to be abandoned.
Hope this information clarifies your doubts. Keep posting :-)
