Friction plays a crucial role in the lives of humans and animals.
• We are able to walk, run and move on the floor due to friction. If there was no friction, humans or animals would not have able to walk. They would have slipped on the floor, thus not able to move.
• It helps humans to hold things and have a grip on it. That is how we are able to open lids of jars.
• It helps humans to hold a pen or a pencil and write. Without friction, this would not have been possible.
• It also helps in Transportation. The friction between the road and the wheels of vehicles allows the vehicles to move.
