1.Tornado is a violent windstorm characterised by a twisting,funnel shaped cloud.It is a rotating column of air,,pendant from a cumulonimbus cloud.Some safety measures to save oneself from tornado are as:
  • Hide in a store or office if it is a public building,find some safe room.
  • Prefer basement, lowest building level,or storm cellar.
  • Stay away from corners, doors ,windows, outside walls.
4.Anemometer is an instrument for measuring and recording the speed of the wind, a windmeter.

Tornadoes are violent storms that strike as a powerful rotating mixture of winds and thunderstorm clouds,extending from the clouds to ground in a funnel shape.They are known to be the most powerful and destructive atmospheric generated phenomena(wind systems.)

Safety Measures:
Do not go near the windows due to the possibility of flying glass or high winds.
Go to the basement/lowest floor,/a small center room (like a bathroom or closet)
Hide under a stairwell or in an interior hallway or room with no windows.
Stay at the center of the room.
