ANSWER THIS PLEASEE
Dear Student,
Labelling
A. Mouth F. Oesophagus/esophagus
B. Liver G. Stomach
C. Gall bladder H. Pancreas
D. Small intestine I. Large intestine
E. Salivary glands
1. Stomach lining (Organ G)
Bile juice secreted by the liver is temporarily stored in the gall blabber before it is deposited into small intestines.
3. Liver (Organ B)
Bile juice secreted by the liver. It plays a major role in emulsifying or in the breakdown of fats into simpler globular molecules. This process is called as emulsification of fats.
4. Oesophagus (F)
Peristalsis is defined as contractions and relaxation of muscles allowing one way movement of food which is usually downwards and it takes place in oesophagus.
5. Mouth (Organ A)
Salivary amylase is secreted by salivary glands (organ E) from where they are transferred into mouth where they help in the breakdown of starch into simpler molecules.
6. Small intestines (Organ D)
Small intestine is involved in the process of digestion. It contains the digestive juices that has been secreted by the two digestive glands, namely the liver and pancreas, which get mixed with the food present in the small intestine. These digestive juices may include: nuclease, pancreatic amylase, protease, lipase and bile juice. They break down the constituents of food like fats, carbohydrates, proteins, etc into simpler components. The inner walls of the small intestine contain a number of finger like projections called the villi. These villi help in the efficient absorption of food.
7. Large intestines (Organ I)
The large intestine reabsorbs water from the undigested food and expels it to the outside through the rectum and the anus as feces.
8. Pancreas (Organ H)
It secretes juice and enzymes in the small intestines which helps in the digestion.
9. Salivary glands (Organ E)
The chemical degradation or breakdown of our food first starts in the mouth where amylase secreted by the salivary glands help in the breakdown of starch and start the process of digestion.

Digestive system is the collection of organs or different body parts which carry out the process of digestion like stomach , small intestine, liver etc.

E. Salivary glands
1. Stomach lining (Organ G)
Gastric juice is a secretion produced by cells lining the stomach. It contains acid HCl, enzymes and mucus and is strongly acidic.
- Hydrochloric acid dissolves bits of food and creates an acidic medium. It also helps in killing microbes present in food.
- Digestive enzymes help in the breakdown of complex organic substances into simple ones.
- Mucus protects the lining of the stomach from HCl.
