Electron Affinity refers to the ability of an element to accept the electrons.
The factors on which it depends are :- Atomic Size and Nuclear charge.

As the Atomic size increases Electron affinity decreases this is because as the size of the atom increases nuclear attraction towards the electrons decreases so Electron affinity decreases as Atomic size increases.

As nuclear charge increases Electron affinity increases because it increases the tendency of the atom to accept electrons.
