Any kind of discrimination does torture those who suffer it silently. Elucidate with reference to the chapter The Hundred Dresses.

Dear Student,

In the chapter, Wanda was ridiculed because she had a unconventional name. Peggy and other girls constantly derided her. She was forced to leave the town because of facing discrimination at the hands of Peggy and her friends. Some people fight against discriminatory forces and bring about changes in our society however most people suffer silently like Wanda.

Regards,
