Are both glycolysis and kerbs cycle come into respiration? Please answer the question experts

Dear Student
Both Glycolysis and Krebs cycle are part of respiration process.
Glycolysis- It is an enzymatic set of biochemical reaction in which glucose is changed to two molecules of pyruvate with the release of energy (ATP) and NADH.

Krebs cycle- It is a set of biochemical reactions which are a part of aerobic respiration and utilize acetate generated through carbohydrates, fats and proteins for generation of energy. It also generates NADH in the process.
It utilizes acetyl coenzyme A (generated from glycolysis produced pyruvate) as its precursor molecules and finally produces energy required for respiration.

Thus both glycolysis and krebs cycle are sequential step for generation of molecular oxygen and energy required for respiration.
