We have,ax2+2bx+c=0So, D=2b2-4ac  =4b2-4ac=4b2-acNow, Since a,b,c>0∴ if b2-ac>0 then equation has two distinct real rootsif b2-ac=0 then equation has two equal rootsif b2-ac<0 then equation has no real roots
