Dear Student

The teachings of Mahatma Buddha are as follows:
  1. Life is full of suffering and unhappiness caused by our cravings and desires which often cannot be fulfilled.
  2. We are never satisfied with what we’ve got but always want more.
  3. He taught that constant craving could be removed by following moderation in everything.
  4. He also taught people to be kind, and to respect the lives of others, including animals.

The teachings of mahavir jaina are-
  • Do not cause harm to anyone.
  • To speak truth only.
  • Not to Take anything from others forcefully.
  • Not to indulged in sexual relations.
  • Complete detachment from material things, people and places.

Anyone and everyone could not join the Sanghas. One who join sangha had to detach all worldly pleasures. So, certain rules had to be followed for joining sangha. Such rules were specifically meant for the women, children and slaves. This states the discrimination that prevails in the society.
