Area of the isoceles right angle triangle is 24.5 cm square . Find its length of hypotenuse.

Let a be the length of each equal side of isosceles right angle triangle and c be its hypotenuse.

By Pythagoras theorem, 

a² + a² = c² 

c = $\sqrt{2}\mathrm{a}$
Now, Area of triangle = $\frac{1}{2}$ . a . a = $\frac{{\mathrm{a}}^2}{2}$
24.5 = $\frac{{\mathrm{a}}^2}{2}$
a²  = 49

a = 7 cm

c = 7$\sqrt{2}$ cm
