Let the arpit has x marbles in his bag, Number of marbles in jar = x2number of marbles in his pocket = x6So remaining marbles=x-x2-x6=12x-6x-2x12=4x12=x3Now according to the condition, x=2×x3+10x=2x3+103x=2x+303x-2x=30x=30So number of marbles in the jar = x2=15
