If one day, while passing a tree they start whispering my name I would be astonished. I would have started thinking that why this happened. Have the human race done so bad to the trees that they have to ultimately take the way of talking to us to tell their situation or they want to express their feelings?
They have to watch their fellow trees being cut down, burnt or smashed. We can stomp our feet to stop any kind of misbehaviour or unacceptable treatment done to us but the trees stand strong and tall and watch everything being done to them silently. They cannot cry, fight, argue or stop us from doing anything. They weep and express their sadness in the form of fall, perhaps that is what happens in the autumn. When the trees shed their leaves, they are weeping for all they have lost, all they have been unjustly robbed of. And we just watch them wail. We watch them mourn and we think that it’s beautiful. We never relate to their agony. Trees are wise enough to realise what right or wrong is being done to them. If they were able to walk, speak and move, they would have definitely protested against the human treatment done to them.
If the trees start whispering my name and would want to share things with me I would whole heartedly listen to their grievances. I would ask them the amount of anger and rage they have in them for the human race. I would have told them that not all humans are the same but due to some they had to undergo all those happened to them. Hearing to the trees, their experiences, their anger and their agony would be a great thing to do as I would be able to know what exactly they feel and they want.
After hearing them, I would definitely work in the direction of making the world a better place for trees.
