Assertion : An arrangement of metals in decreasing order of their reactivity is called activity series.
Reason :   Metals can be differentiated from non metals.

(a) Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion.
(b) Both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion.
(c) Assertion is true but Reason is false.
(d) Both Assertion and Reason are false.

Dear student,

We have reactivity series for metals and non metals as well by mean of which we can identify or list them on the bases of their reaction with other chemical compounds. For example-
The reactivity series of metals is -

Potassium > Sodium > Lithium > Calcium > Magnesium > Aluminium > Zinc > Iron > Copper > Silver > Gold

Here potassium is highly reactive and gold is least.

Also,  metals can be differentiated from non metal on the basis of their physical and cgemical properties like physical appearance, malleability, solubility etc.

So, here we can say that both assertion and reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion.

So, option B is correct.

Regards!!!
