ASSERTION- Sunlight reaches us without dispersion in the form of white light and not as its components.
REASON- Dispersion takes place due to variation in the refractive index for different wavelength but in vacuum the speed of light is independent of wavelength and hence vacuum is non-dispersive medium.

Dispersion only occurs after the sunlight enters the atmosphereat a minor rate. So sunlight reaches us without dispersion in the form of white light and not as its components. This is becuse before entering the atmosphere, sunlight passes through vaccum and vaccum is a non-dispersive medium.

So both the assertion and reason are correct and reason is the correct explanationof assertion.
