As according to the kinetic theory of gas we know that the rms velocity of a gas molecule is , 
c=3RTMNow the let at temperature T K rms velocity of O2 is 400 m/s .So , cO2=3RTMO2..........1So at the same tempereature rms velocity of the H2 molecules are ,cH2=3RTMH2............2Now dividing equation 1 by equation 2 we get , cO2cH2=MH2MO2cH2=cO2MH2MO2cH2=400232=400116=400×4=1600 m/s
