Dear Student

Yes, I agree with the given statement that  ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ had been the roots of the Indian Planning Process in the form
of ‘Self-reliance’ as an objective of the planning process .
In the early post-independence period, government  focused on reducing the dependence on the foreign countries for goods, services, technology and capital. It laid emphasis on using domestic resources instead of imported resources to avoid foreign interference as it was feared that the dependence on the imported food supplies, foreign technology and foreign capital may increase foreign interference in the policies of our country.
Similarly, the aim of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" mission initiated by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is making India a self-reliant and self- sufficient nation. It aims to make the country and its citizens self-reliant in all senses.
