Volume of  Lithium (1s22s1) = 43πr3                         = 43 × 3.14 × (1.23)3                     = 7.79 A0Volume of Li+ (1s2) = = 43πr3                         = 43 × 3.14 × (0.76)3                     = 1.84 A0Thus the volume of the 2s electron = 7.79 - 1.84 = 5.95 A0% of volume occupied by single valence electron = 5.957.79 × 100 = 76.38 %
