"If E and F are mutually exclusive events, then P (E ∪ F) = P (E) + P (F).in this case , will P (E) + P (F) BE EQUAL TO 1?

PLS EXPLAIN WITH REASON."

does not say that sets are collectively exhaustive so how can one be sure that all events are covered in EUF, consequently assumption that P (E) + P (F) can be false.

Please explain this .........

If I am right then why the certified expert of your organization is not giving right answer (satisfactorily).
