she is also a girl born in low caste family.her mother tells that if one intends to cut her hair its only cowards do.so zitkala wants her hair to be long and not want to cut her hair.so she refuses to thhe people and she hides so as to not to be seen by the peoplle who wants to cut her hair.but those ones forces zitkala and ties her to chair and cuts her hair.
