Betrayal of trust is an evil which may affect people of anytime or any age. Discuss the statement with the reference of chapter- the Address

Dear student,

The given statement is absolutely true and the story 'The Address' is the perfect example of it. The narrator who had returned to the address after several years, given by her mother to claim her belongings which they had given to Mrs. Dorling to preserve during the time of war had betrayed both, the narrator and her dead mother who had invested so much trust in her. The material possessions were of great importance to the narrator as they were the source of her mother's warmth. However, when Mrs. Dorling refused to recognise and treat her nicely, she felt betrayed and it pained her to the extent that she had to decide to forget the address altogether.
